So the month of July is up and going to IMATS a while ago has made me venture into lots of fantastic beauty products that I would love to share with you. This post isn’t necessarily going to be full of IMATS products because there have been a few other things I’ve been loving too.
For example the lovely Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain. Its a Yes from me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Although quite pricey for technically a lip balm, it’s definitely worth it. I only have the shade Honey but the product is absolutely amazing. Strictly speaking for the shade Honey; I don’t have to use a mirror to put on the product which is very handy if I’m out and about and don’t have one. It also has a lovely peppermint scent, unlike other beauty products. It doesn’t stay on for a ridiculously long time even though it claims it is a ‘stain’ but the colour fades rather than comes off in patches which I really like about it. You don’t have to worry about re-applying in a hurry like you have to do with some lipsticks but maybe this is because it is a rather nude shade? The balm side of the product is definitely worth it- This product is very moisturising and doesn’t dry my lips out in the slightest. Hopefully I will be able to get another, brighter colour so I can see if its as good as this shade!
The next thing ive been loving is the Lip Creme’s by NYX in Absolute Red. The pigmentation in this product is actually impeccable. Not like a usual lip creme at all, some I’ve seen just have a wash of colour and mostly add shine to the lips but this product is really something else, it reminds me of collection’s creme puff product but just more luxurious and sophisticated. It stays for a lonnnnggggg time too! You can apply it thickly or you can lightly apply it with a brush which I prefer. It’s not even that expensive and the packaging isn’t cheap or tacky, they manage to still make it look somewhat expensive!
Next is a NARS Blush in the shade Douceur. I picked this up at IMATS and it’s the first Blush from NARS that I have tried. I didn’t want to go for the traditional ‘orgasm’ blush because I already have 2 dupes for it. I don’t have any other blusher like this and I think it’s amazing. Its a very muted colour with browns and old pinks in it. It’s not totally but mostly matte. It is great for contouring and sculpting the face. As a blush it is very subtle and makes you look very healthy which I love as the summer months come in as I’m terribly pale. It is quite expensive but would last you a long time as you get 4.8g of product.
Lastly I have the NYC nail polishes. I picked a few up the other day whilst in superdrug as they were doing a 3 for 2 offer and I just couldn’t resist. Ive tried all of the colours out and Im very impressed. They retail at £1.79 each which is AMAZING for what they are, I think the packaging looks great and you get a whopping 9.7ml of product! I have the colours Blue sky, Wild with passion and Grand Central Station. Blue sky is a minty greenish blue colour that is very similar to the mint colour by Barry M. Wild with Passion is a deep pinky purple which is very vibrant and glossy. Lastly Grand Central Station is just a clear top coat. They dry very quickly and the brush is nice and thick which I love in a nail polish.
